Give yourself more than 30min after arriving by car, as parking and walking take some time. The on site lot was full when we arrived at 7:30, and the gave up a map to find the other lots. The parking opposite the hospital is $15 per day, the one opposite the Steamship Authority entrance is $20. Bad drip coffee was served, the kids hot chocolate was pretty good.

I have taken my vehicle to Nantucket via the Steamship Authority for years. Always on time and very easy trip. Show up an hour early, get your vehicle in line, drive on the boat, enjoy the ride, drive off the boat.

You can reserve your spot on a boat as early as January every year for the upcoming summer. Best way to do it if you need to guarantee a specific date of arrival.

Helpful people, quick, and clean. Stay away from the cafe. Wasted $30 on two sandwiches and two waters that were bland at best. Otherwise a decent experience.

Would NEVER choose this ferry service again!! We were rudely treated a d literally abandoned by them on Nantucket today. Return ferry cancelled due to high wind?? Thank goodness that the HY-LINE FERRY service was there to get us back to Hyannis terminal with NO problem.

The racism I experienced by my daughter and myself today was downright disgusting! When the "ticket agent" asked my daughter how old she is she replied 5. She will in fact be 5 June 30th and today is may 5th 2017.She's always been tall for her age! Well when the ticket agent tells me to return and purchase her ticket I explain that she will be 5 next month to which he throws his hands up in the air and shouts " Oh for christs sake Just go!" To which I replied "excuse me, what is your name, because everytime I've tried to board this boat with my child since she was 3 you insinuate that I'm lieng to get my daughter aboard the boat" he then tells me again to go ahead and. Oats and I had to ask for his name 3 more times to which I've now forgotten because his co worker decides to step up and shout in my face that this is their job and some more irrelevant shouting to which I shouted back it's also The ticket agent whose seated inside's job isn't it,and she's already asked me.The two of them continued to shout back and forth with me to which I demanded that I am a paying customer whether I payed for my soon to be 5 yr old or not and that if I were not African American they would not be speaking to me in such an unprofessional and downright disrespectful disgusting manner! My husband just payed over 400 bucks to get our truck onto the steamship slow boat yesterday.today is Friday and my daughter and I are on our way to meet him and saw no need to spend extra money on the fast ferry! I have already called to place a complaint but when told I would speak to a supervisor the supervisor is the same jerk that just dealt with a 29 yr old African American woman in such a disgusting manner in front of her daughter! Appalling! I will be making a complaint in the morning to the terminal manager as well as bringing my daughters birth certificate! I have no problem with them "doing their job" and asking her age however when told "for christs sake go ahead and get on" that's a blatant insinuation that I was being untruthful to which i am most positive the steamships "priveledged " or let's just call a duck a duck their Caucasian clientele would never have to experience!!!!!
